SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:     Provides computer support by analyzing business problems and developing applications or making recommendations.

 

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Develops and maintains information systems and software, including problem identification, analysis, database structure design, testing, and implementation.

·         Leads analysis of business problems and make recommendations on solutions, including purchased, built and open-source alternatives.

·         Tracks industry trends by reviewing technical journals to remain current with hardware and software technology.

·         Prepares cost studies for system changes.

·         Provides customer service to users of information systems.

·         May lead a team of professionals in designing or maintaining information systems.

 

Other Functions:

 

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

SUPERVISION

Received:        Work is performed under minimal supervision from immediate supervisor.

 

Provided:         Not required to supervise others 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma or GED equivalent with seven years of experience.

 

Experience:     A minimum of three years of experience in systems design, analysis and programming.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:  

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office environment.  Uses personal computer and other standard office equipment.  Requires occasional evening or weekend hours.
