SUMMARY
Purpose/Scope: Provides computer support by
analyzing business problems and developing applications or making
recommendations.
DUTIES
Essential
Functions:
· Develops and maintains information systems and software, including problem identification, analysis, database structure design, testing, and implementation.
· Leads analysis of business problems and make recommendations on solutions, including purchased, built and open-source alternatives.
· Tracks industry trends by reviewing technical journals to remain current with hardware and software technology.
· Prepares cost studies for system changes.
· Provides customer service to users of information systems.
· May lead a team of professionals in designing or maintaining information systems.

Received: Work is performed under minimal supervision from immediate supervisor.
Provided: Not required to supervise others
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma
or GED equivalent with seven years of experience.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in
systems design, analysis and programming.

CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office environment. Uses personal computer and other standard
office equipment. Requires occasional
evening or weekend hours.
