1. |
Coordinate preparation/writing of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for group insurance programs. Review and evaluate vendor responses. Make recommendations to management. Respond to vendor questions and notify vendors of contract award. Coordinate transition of benefits during vendor changes. |

Coordinate annual benefits enrollment. Develop and implement communications, such as annual enrollment publications and training materials. Train/make benefits presentations to human resources staff at the components. Monitor vendor presentations and respond to plan and policy questions. |

Develop benefits-related communications such as newsletters, websites, email, articles and videoconferences. |
|

Develop or assist with development of training and educational materials. |

Respond to benefit inquiries, eligibility issues, analyze documents and resolve questions/problems. Advise management of contract problems and offer solutions. Review claim appeals. Coordinate claims review with medical director or claims review committee. |

Administer insurance plans, such as COBRA, Life Insurance and Student Health Insurance. Advise components of plan and federal rules and negotiates contract amendments. |
|
7.
|
Review/edit and interpret Employee Group Insurance (EGI) policies. Understand and interpret rules, regulations and plan benefits. |

|
Monitor state bills during legislative sessions; analyze bills and their impact on UT & Employee Group Insurance (EGI) policies. |
|
9.
|
Work on special projects and perform other duties as required. |
