Job Purpose To manage the operation of each of the Workers’ Compensation field offices and monitor for compliance with Workers’ Compensation insurance (WCI) rules and regulations.
Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with a minimum of 5 years workers’ compensation experience. Type 03 Workers’ Compensation license required.

1.

Manage the daily operation of the Workers’ Compensation Insurance office.

2.

Develop and supervise employees by providing training, setting goals, and conducting performance evaluations.

3.

Assist in the administration of the in-house WCI program and oversee the activities of the third-party audit company.

4.

Audit claims for compliance with state workers’ compensation rules and regulations.

5.

Represent the UT System in administrative hearings before the Texas Worker’s Compensation Commission.

6.

Provide training and resource guidance in WCI related issues to component institutions.

7.

Develop and supervise activities for monitoring rules, regulations, and state and federal laws to ensure compliance within the assigned area of responsibility.
