SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:     Provides administrative support and assistance to the Workers’ Compensation Insurance (WCI) claims analysts.

 

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Prepares and manages WCI claims by preparing required Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) forms; updates computer with relevant information; analyzes documents for appropriate information; and calculates and submits benefit payments.

·         Provides administrative/clerical support to adjusters by answering the phone, making copies, distributing mail, and providing PC support.

·         Provides customer service over the phone to claimants, DWC officers, institutions, and providers.

·         Assists in monitoring/updating the filing system.

·         Prepares and completes DWC forms and documentation.

 

Other Functions:

 

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

SUPERVISION

Received:         Work is performed under direct supervision from immediate supervisor.

 

Provided:         Not required to supervise others           

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or GED.

 

Experience:      No experience required.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:   

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office environment.  Uses personal computer and other standard office equipment.  Requires occasional evening or weekend hours.
