Emergency Evacuation Preparation

In September of 2005 our colleagues on the Texas Gulf Coast experienced the devastation caused by Hurricane Rita; however, UT System employees heeded the call and opened their hearts and homes to those impacted by the hurricane, housing many displaced families!

In an effort to help alleviate the pressures natural disasters bring to the local community and to our counterparts, the Office of Employee Services is compiling a list of employees who would be willing to open their homes to refugees from other institutions should disaster strike again.
