SUMMARY

Purpose/Scope:   To provide all aspects of responsible legal and administrative support for attorneys and other staff within the Office of General Counsel.

 

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Provide all aspects of responsible legal and administrative support for attorneys and other staff within the Office of General Counsel.

·         Maintains databases and files, manages records including leave reports, time reports and other personnel reports.

·         Types and edits legal documents, correspondence and presentations, maintains calendars, schedules travel, makes travel arrangements, and processes travel reimbursements including expenses and vouchers. 

·         Answers telephones, opens/distributes mail. 

 

Other Functions:

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION

Received:  Work is performed under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

 

Provided:  None.                     

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or GED with additional specialized/technical training

                         

Experience:  3 to 5 years of experience as an administrative assistant required

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:   Knowledge of standard office practices.  Excellent customer service skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.  Ability to use standard personal computer.  Ability to perform basic tasks using the Microsoft Office Suite.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposure to standard office conditions.  Requires repetitive use of keyboard at workstation.  Some lifting or moving may be required.
