Instructional Schedule and Guidelines
Each class will be conducted over a period of approximately six months followed by a four to six month period for the Executive Committee and MLDP Liaisons to conduct a program assessment and complete the selection process for the next class.
There will be approximately eighteen participants in each class.
Supervisors and managers are expected to work with selected program participants regarding work schedules to ensure these employees are able to fully participate in all MLDP classroom and project sessions.
As appropriate, a participant's normal work activities may have to be temporarily realigned to permit full program participation.
Currently, there are three programs available within MLDP. Each of these programs will be offered on a rotating basis.
- MLDP - Advancement in Professionalism - Degreed professional, technical, or other career-track employees who may not currently manage others.
- MLDP - Leading Through Collaboration and Teamwork - Employees who may supervise others on a day-to-day basis, but are not classified or titled as managers – and administrative and support employees who demonstrate commitment and the potential for greater responsibility.
- MLDP - Managing for Excellence - Managers of either a functional area or a large project.
