Management & Leadership Development Program

MLDP - Class III Group Photo

"Looking back, one of the most valuable aspects of the class was that it helped me to appreciate the opportunities I have to create change as a member of The University of Texas System community. My involvement in the class gave me a better sense of how all of the various offices interact and depend on each other.

I believe that the class has helped me to develop a more positive concept about the value of change and, consequently, I now take more time to learn and evaluate all aspects of new proposals before I reach a conclusion or provide an opinion.

Listening to my classmates discuss their responsibilities and challenges helped me understand how I can improve my interactions with other departments to help them accomplish their goals."

-Barbara M. Holthaus, Attorney, Office of General Counsel - Class III Participant

Participant Application and Selection Process

The Office of Employee Services (OES) is responsible for informing all UT System Administration employees of eligibility criteria, application procedures, and timelines prior to each upcoming MLDP session.

All eligible employees interested in participating in the MLDP are responsible for submitting a properly completed application to the OES by the specified deadline.

OES will forward applications to the appropriate MLDP Liaison. Up to 3 applications will be selected and forwarded to OES by the each Liaison. OES will submit the applications and any supporting documentation to the Executive Committee for review.

The MLDP Executive Committee will make the final selection of participants and communicate the selection decision to Liaisons, all applicants, and selected participants.
