Risk Finance coordinates the purchase of insurance policies for The University of Texas System Institutions in accordance with The Board of Regents Regents' Rules and Regulations, 80601, 2. Section 1.
Currently Risk Finance manages over 200 insurance policies covering a wide range of risks including property, business income, fine art, automobile, equipment, crime, windstorm (TWIA), flood (NFIP), and general liability associated with special events, tenant users and camps. While many policies are written for all Institutions, some may cover only one or a few.
Risk Finance is also responsible for administration of several self-insurance funds including the Comprehensive Property Protection Plan (CPPP) and the Rolling Owner Controlled Insurance Program (ROCIP) programs.
Risk Finance conducts contract reviews for Institutions and provides claims management services, risk analysis, and consulting.
