
Risk Automation Technology supports the strategic initiatives and projects for all areas of the Office of Risk Management. The responsibilities of Automation Technology includes developing and maintaining departmental computer software systems as well as providing information services.
The Risk Information Systems section supports technology and programming services for all areas of The Office of Risk Management to ensure that automated systems are developed and maintained to effectively manage ORM business functions.
Risk Information Systems staff manage data exchanged with contracted third parties to ensure that it is accurate, timely and secure. Risk Information Systems provide software application support to risk management professionals at UT System and the institutions. ORM technology needs are managed through software application development on site and a Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
Risk Information Systems are upgrading two major ORM software applications, Professional Liability Action Network (PLANet) system and converting WCMENU claims management system to the world wide web.
Risk Automation Technology provides assistance with the use of CS STARS, WCMENU and computer based applications.
