The UT System Board of Regents Strategic Plan calls for expanded global competitiveness, increases in numbers of students studying abroad, and international research and clinical activities. The UT System Global Initiative was developed to respond to this call for action.
The initiative is responsible for
- developing focused recommendations for System action;
- developing a Systemwide clearinghouse of information and program contacts;
- initiating and implementing a series of Systemwide fora; and
- defining goals and metrics to track progress.
