Emergency Mail Service

For business continuity, OTIS has contracted with a company called MessageOne for emergency mail service. The service hosted by MessageOne runs in Data Centers throughout the country. OTIS and other key personnel can activate this service at any time should our own email environment fail or become unavailable as the result of a natural disaster. The system has a web-based interface for sending and receiving email with your UT System email address and messages that you send or receive during an emergency can later be synchronized back into our Exchange environment after it has been recovered.

All of our email addresses, Outlook Contacts and Calendars, and the UT System Global Address List are all synchronized nightly to the MessageOne servers, so it stays in a constant ready state.

New employees are welcomed to the system each Tuesday morning. If you are a new employee you should have received the welcome message
(if you need to have this resent to you contact the helpdesk).
