Remote Access and Telecommuting
How do I get Microsoft Office and remote access on my home computer so I can work from home?
Complete the Remote Access form and forward to the Support Desk. Support Desk staff will either arrange a time for you to bring your computer in for the remote access and software installation or check out a CD and give you instructions on how to install the Microsoft Office. It is important to read the remote access form carefully to ensure you meet the remote security requirements.
My Office says I can telecommute, what is the best way to connect to UT System?
The type of connection needed for a telecommuter depends on the type of work performed at the remote worksite. In some cases a dial-up connection is fine for e-mail and occasional file download situations. If a more robust connection is needed, we recommend a RoadRunner or DSL connection. DSL is not available in all locations. Contact Support Desk for more information.
