Job Disqualifiers

 

Any of the following will disqualify an applicant from further consideration at any stage of the screening process:

 

  1. Having been on or currently on court-ordered supervision or probation for any criminal offense of the grade of felony;
  2. Having been convicted of any criminal offense of the grade of felony;
  3. Having been on or currently on court-ordered supervision or probation for any criminal offense of the grade of Class A misdemeanor;
  4. Having been convicted of any criminal offense of the grade of Class A misdemeanor;
  5. Having been on or currently on court-ordered supervision or probation for any criminal offense of the grade of Class B misdemeanor in the last ten (10) years from the date of the court order;
  6. Having been convicted for any criminal offense of the grade of Class B misdemeanor in the last ten (10) years
  7. Having been convicted of a family violence offense;
  8. Currently being under indictment for any offense;
  9. Being prohibited by state or federal law from operating a motor vehicle;
  10. Being prohibited by state or federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition;
  11. Having been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions;
  12. Having had any Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education license denied by final order, revoked, or a voluntary surrender of a license currently in effect;
  13. Having an excessive record of traffic convictions;
  14. Making any false statements, falsely swearing to statements, or giving false testimony in any official matter and the applicant screening process.
