Job Disqualifiers
|
Any of the following will disqualify an applicant from further consideration at any stage of the screening process:
- Having been on or currently on court-ordered supervision or probation for any criminal offense of the grade of felony;
- Having been convicted of any criminal offense of the grade of felony;
- Having been on or currently on court-ordered supervision or probation for any criminal offense of the grade of Class A misdemeanor;
- Having been convicted of any criminal offense of the grade of Class A misdemeanor;
- Having been on or currently on court-ordered supervision or probation for any criminal offense of the grade of Class B misdemeanor in the last ten (10) years from the date of the court order;
- Having been convicted for any criminal offense of the grade of Class B misdemeanor in the last ten (10) years
- Having been convicted of a family violence offense;
- Currently being under indictment for any offense;
- Being prohibited by state or federal law from operating a motor vehicle;
- Being prohibited by state or federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition;
- Having been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions;
- Having had any Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education license denied by final order, revoked, or a voluntary surrender of a license currently in effect;
- Having an excessive record of traffic convictions;
- Making any false statements, falsely swearing to statements, or giving false testimony in any official matter and the applicant screening process.
