A. PERMITS REQUIRED FOR ACCESS & PARKING: Only vehicles conspicuously displaying U.T. System Administration permits (as specified in Section VI) may park in U.T. System Administration facilities Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
B. DISPLAY OF PERMITS: Parking permits must be properly displayed on the vehicle as described in Section VI. Improperly displayed permits will subject the holder to a citation. Additionally, the permit may be revoked and the holder may lose all parking privileges (Section VIII).
C. SURRENDER OF PERMITS: Permits shall be surrendered when association with U.T. System Administration is terminated; when a replacement permit has been issued to take the place of a previously issued permit; or upon revocation (Section VI).

E. PERMIT RESTRICTIONS
1. "Reserved" spaces are assigned and are restricted to authorized employees.
2. Employees are requested to observe, to the extent possible, the spaces marked "full size" or "compact" cars. Compact cars are those that can fit within the boundaries of the marked spaces.
3. Visitors who conduct business with and/or who render a service to System Administration may obtain a visitor parking permit from the guard on duty in the kiosk. The guard will designate where visitors are to park.
F. SPEED LIMIT: The speed limit in parking areas, is five (5) mph unless otherwise posted. (Section IV).
G. POSTED SIGNS & BARRICADES: Posted signs and barricades, whether permanent or temporary, must be obeyed at all times.
H. PARKING IMPROPERLY: Parking wholly within the marked boundaries of the parking space is required at all times. Vehicles shall not park in a manner that obstructs walkways, driveways, ramps, loading docks, marked cross-walks or inflicts damage to shrubbery, trees, grass, grounds or structures. Additionally, no vehicle may park on any area which has not been marked or designated for parking. Other improperly parked vehicles do not constitute an excuse for improper parking.
I. ENFORCEMENT AND IMPOUNDMENTS: Failure to abide by these regulations may be the basis for disciplinary action against employee (Sections V and VIII). Upon notice, a violator may be subject to impoundment of their vehicle pending payment of overdue charges (Section VIII). Vehicles may also be impounded for specific impound violations.
J. APPEAL OF CITATION: U.T. System Administration parking and traffic citations may be appealed, within ten (10) working days from date of citation. (See Section VIII for detailed procedures). Court Appearance citations are handled by the appropriate state or municipal court.
K. VISITORS: All visitors need permits to park on U.T. System Administration property. OFFICIAL VISITORS are those who conduct business with or who render a service to U.T. System Administration and who are not otherwise eligible for annual parking permits. Official visitors must obtain temporary parking permits from the guards at the kiosk. These permits entitle the holder to park only in a space designated by the U.T. System Administration guard on duty. Permits must be conspicuously displayed on each vehicle. (Section VI).
L. INOPERABLE VEHICLES: If a vehicle becomes inoperable and is creating an obstruction or hazard, a telephone call shall be placed to the Office of Director of Police at 499-4680. Inoperable vehicles left for more than 24 hours will be considered abandoned and are subject to removal at the owner’s expense.
M. OWNERSHIP: Parking permits remain the property of U.T. System Administration and are not transferable.
N. APPEALS PANEL: Three members of the parking committee chosen by the Executive Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs will hear citation appeals.
