1. The purpose of these regulations is to provide for the control of traffic and parking.
2. On special occasions and in emergencies, the Director of Police may impose temporary parking and traffic control restrictions. These restrictions shall have all the force of other written and approved regulations and shall be subject to the same penalties.
3. It shall be a violation to commit any act prohibited by these regulations or to fail to do any act required by these regulations.
4. The driver of any vehicle involved in a collision shall remain at the scene of such accident or collision, and by the quickest means of communication report such accident or collision to the U.T. Austin Guard on duty.
5. No person shall fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction from any U.T. System commissioned officer or guard.
6. Any person who willfully or through negligence causes damage to U.T. System Administration property shall be liable for damage done to said property.
7. All vehicles operated or parked on System Administration property shall properly display a current parking permit.
8. The operator of a vehicle shall yield right-of-way to pedestrians at all times.
