The University of Texas System Policy Library is the official repository of all current system-wide and System Administration internal policies. In addition to a keyword search and full-text search, we have provided five other ways to browse our collection of policies: subject index, alphabetical index, policy number index, office index, and keyword index.
There are two categories of policy numbers. One group of policies affects the entire UT System and System Administration, and this group of policies is preceded by the letters UTS in front of the policy number. The other set of policies applies to UT System Administration internally, and this set of policies is preceded by the letters INT.
Policy Library Search Options:
- Subject Index: The subject index has the policies arranged under relevant subject category headings and subheadings. Policies related to more than one subject are cross-referenced under multiple subject headings.
- Office Index: The office index has policies arranged by office, including sponsoring offices and any office involved in implementation or enforcement of the policy. This list is also cross-referenced.
- Policy Number Index: This index provides a list of policies arranged by their policy numbers.
- Alphabetical Index: The alphabetical index has the policies listed alphabetically by their title.
- Keyword Index: The keyword index has a list of keywords related to all of the policies. You can use this index to find all policies that may be related to a particular keyword.
- Search Engines: You can do a full text search of the policies using the Google search engine in the navigation bar, or you can narrow your search results by using the keyword search engine on the Advanced Search Tips page. The Advanced Search Tips page also provides tips for for using the search engines.
Need to edit a policy?
The policies are available in HTML and PDF format in the Policy Library. If you need to edit a policy, please submit the Policy Checkout Form, and the Policy Office will provide instructions to access the Microsoft Word version of the policy.
Looking for a policy by a previous name?
The Disposition Table lists all policies by their previous names and titles (BPM number, Rule number, etc.), and it provides a link to each policy's new number and location within the Policy Library.
