News Conference Scheduled on U. T. System Budget Cuts

The U.T. System Spending Reduction Plan [3] - to be discussed at today's conference. The University of Texas System will hold a news conference on Thursday, February 6, 2003, to discuss the system's report to the state on budget cuts for the current fiscal year. The news conference will be at 3 p.m. on the 9th floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 West 7th Street, Austin. Officials from the U. T. System will discuss system-wide actions in response to directions from state leaders to cut 7 percent from budgets for the rest of the current fiscal year. Thursday is the deadline for reporting to the state on plans for the budget cuts. |
