The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System will hold a special called meeting via telephone conference call at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 19.
The regents will meet to discuss the possible naming of a finalist or finalists for the presidency of UT Pan American. State law requires that names of finalists for a university presidency be made public at least 21 days before regents vote on the appointment.
The regents will also discuss and take appropriate action concerning a revision in the mission statement of the UT M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Reporters wishing to listen to the open session portion of the meeting may do so in person on the 9th floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street in Austin.
Parking for the news media will be available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 7th and 6th Streets.
