The Office of Research Technology and Transfer (RTT) expanded its responsibilities in 2008 with the addition of Dr. Lisa Leiden as Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Sponsored Programs.  This new division spans all fifteen of the academic and health campuses at The University of Texas System, to provide support and oversight of research administration.  Areas of particular emphasis include: conflict of interest – research; research misconduct; export control; biosafety and IBC roles, human research protections and IRB roles; animal research and safety with IACUC functions; and related IT solutions for research compliance concerns such as time and effort.
