University of Texas System faculty interested in participating in any of the three Emerging Technology Fund components must contact the Office of the Vice President for Research or equivalent for their university.
Research Superiority Acquisition of Talent Grants
The University of Texas System (UT System) will submit proposals for Research Superiority Acquisition of Talent Grants on behalf of The University of Texas institutions. An original hardcopy and electronic copy of the proposal should be submitted to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology Transfer by the President of The University of Texas institution making the submission.
Research Grant Matching
Proposals for the Research Grant Matching quarterly submissions should be sent to The Office of the Governor, Attn: Mark M. Ellison, Director of the Emerging Technology Fund, P.O Box 12428, Austin, TX 78711 by no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 25, 2007. A copy of the proposal should be forwarded to the UT System Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology Transfer. Please note that there is no timeline for resubmitting proposals if the strengths and weaknesses of a proposal have been addressed properly.
Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC)
Contact the appropriate Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization for details on how to submit applications. Applications for the next quarter must be submitted by May 29, 2007. A copy of the application should be submitted to the UT System Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology Transfer.
