  • FAQ - Criminal Background Checks

Will I be subject to a background check?

Each participating school has its own policy regarding the requirement of a criminal background check. In accordance with the school's policy, some or all of the TMDSAS participating schools may require a criminal background check on accepted applicants as a condition of admission or matriculation. An applicant will be denied admission or barred from matriculation if he/she refuses to consent to a criminal background check. In general, the cost of performing the background check will be the responsibility of the applicant.

For more information, refer to each school's Criminal Background Check policy. At this time, not all schools have their policy available online.
