    Processing

After you submit your application, TMDSAS will process and transmit your application to the medical schools.

TMDSAS does not wait on transcripts, letters or test scores to process applications. It is your responsibility to ensure that TMDSAS has received all supplemental materials.

    While You Wait

While you wait to hear from the medical schools, here are some things you may want to do to prepare.

    Status Check

Log in to your TMDSAS Application. Be sure that your TMDSAS Status indicates that all your transcripts, letters and test scores have been received.

If something you submitted doesn't show up within a reasonable amount of time, you may want to send another copy or check with us to find out why.

    Complete Secondary Applications

Secondary applications should be completed as soon as you submit your TMDSAS application.

Any questions relating to a secondary application should be directed to the respective school. Any secondary application required documents and/or fees should be sent directly to the school and NOT to TMDSAS.

View the medical schools that require a secondary.

    Update Your Application

After submitting your application, you may make updates as needed. You are able to make changes to the Contact Info yourself from within the application.

To make changes to the following: Test Score Information, Letters of Evaluation, and to add planned course work to the Colleges and Coursework section you must email TMDSAS.

Email tmdsas@utsystem.edu - include your full name, TMDSAS ID and the exact change that needs to be made.

Be sure to update this information whenever necessary. For instance, if you retake the MCAT, be sure to add the new test date to the application and send us the new score once it is released.

    Missing Item in TMDSAS Status?

It can take two or three days for items you submit to appear in your TMDSAS Status, especially near the deadline. Continue to check your status.

    Problems

Why is my application in the Problem Section?

An application may be placed in the problem section for various reasons.

The most common cause is applications that are submitted without the required documents, such as Visas or PR cards - if applicable.

TMDSAS immediately notifies applicants of problems by email.

Be sure to keep TMDSAS updated of any change in your email address so you don't miss any important notifications!
