The rules and regulations governing travel come from several sources. The U. T. System is governed by the State of Texas Travel Regulations Act, Regents’ Rules and Regulations, and by official interpretations of the Travel Act as made by the State Comptroller of Public Accounts. In addition, departments may adopt guidelines that are more stringent than those required by the state or System Administration. Check with a department contact prior to making travel arrangements.
