Mandatory Harassment Prevention Training ScheduledHalf of All Employees Should Expect an E-Mail from Workplace Answers SoonTexas law requires that all System Administration employees receive training regarding sexual harassment every two years. The Office of Employee Services has once again contracted with Workplace Answers, an online training organization, to provide training on all forms of illegal harassment, including sexual harassment.
Not everyone is scheduled to take this training, but if you are scheduled to take the training this year in accordance with the 2-year schedule mandated by the state, you will receive an email during the 2nd week of November from Workplace Answers that includes a link to the training. You should plan to complete the training no later than Thursday, December 31, 2009.
The course is interactive and contains a variety of real-life work situations. The training can be taken on any computer with access to the Internet. If you are a supervisor, you will be required to complete two modules, the general training, and the supervisory supplemental training. You may use your personalized link to resume the course if you cannot immediately complete the training, or to review the material at a later date. An email informing you of your scheduled training and a link to the course will come to you from workplaceanswers.com.
If you completed the training last year, you will not be required to take the course again this year and will not receive the email.
If you have questions regarding the training, you may contact Kim Newton at knewton@utsystem.edu or (512) 499-4797. |
