Orange Santa

Orange Santa, now in its 19th year, is a campus-wide donation program. It was established in 1994 to provide a more joyous season for university employees and students who do not have sufficient means to acquire new toys and gifts for their children at the holidays. In December 2011, Orange Santa served 316 families, including 957 children.

Information about the program can be found at http://www.utexas.edu/events/orangesanta.  Please consider getting involved in the Orange Santa program in any of the following ways:

*  Donate new unwrapped gifts for children, gift certificates and wrapping supplies. The campus donation drive runs from Monday, November 5 - Friday, December 7.

*  Make a monetary contribution that will be used to purchase gifts.

*  Organize a donation drive in your work place or organization.

*  Volunteer to help at the Orange Santa Holiday Store.

The nearest drop off station for UT System Admininstration employees is UFCU - Downtown Branch located in the Colorado Building.

Application for Orange Santa assistance can be made by completing the online application on the Web site listed above. Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, November 19 at 5:00 p.m.

Orange Santa is pleased to partner with the Hispanic Faculty and Staff Association (HFSA) in promoting their Holiday Assistance Program, a companion project that provides assistance with a holiday meal. Orange Santa and the HFSA Holiday Assistance Program provide resources for UT employees and students with special needs but they also serve as opportunities for the larger university community to contribute to those needs and participate in a special season of caring.
