Get Your Flu Vaccination with your UT SELECT Benefits
Flu season is here, and as of September 1, 2011, flu shots and nasal flu mist are covered 100% under the UT SELECT medical plan when services are received from a participating Blue Cross Blue Shield provider.
To make flu vaccines more accessible, effective November 1, 2011, UT SELECT will also cover the full cost of the vaccine at retail pharmacies that participate in the Medco network. To find a retail pharmacy where you can get the vaccine, call Medco at 1-800-818-0155 or visit www.medco.com. You must present your UT SELECT/Medco prescription card for 100% coverage of the flu vaccine. A prescription is NOT required and the vaccine is not subject to the prescription plan deductible. If you present your UT SELECT/Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) medical ID card to the pharmacy, the pharmacy will require payment and you will need to submit a paper claim to BCBS for reimbursement.
