UT Southwestern, Seton and UT System Officials to Discuss New Partnership Expanding Medical Education in Austin

AUSTIN – Officials from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, the Seton Family of Hospitals, and the UT System will meet with civic and business leaders at a luncheon to discuss additional details of the recent affiliation agreement that will expand graduate medical education and clinical research and increase access to healthcare in Central Texas.

Members of the news media may attend the luncheon scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3 at 11:45 a.m. at Seton Family of Hospitals Administration Offices in Austin, 1345 Philomena St., St. Vincent de Paul Auditorium, First Floor.

UT and Seton officials will be available to answer reporters’ questions.  Parking for the news media will be available at the Seton facility. 

It is expected that over time the new partnership will lead to a significant increase in the number of resident physicians who will train at the Seton Family of Hospitals and ultimately practice within the broader community of Central Texas.
