Performance Management & Appraisal Training

As we approach the conclusion of the FY 2023 performance appraisal cycle (June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024), we are extending you an invitation to participate in OTI’s upcoming Performance Management training sessions. These sessions will cover the comprehensive approach to performance management. All employees, especially those new to the appraisal process, are strongly encouraged to attend.

Per HOP 3.5.2 Performance Appraisals and Regents' Rule 30501 Employee Evaluations, employees and supervisors should complete, review, and electronically sign performance appraisals by July 1 to be considered merit eligible.

Please refer to the email sent on 5/3 for the schedule and registration links.

FY 2025 Holiday Schedule

The FY 2025 holiday schedule has been posted.

The number of annual holidays a state agency is permitted to observe is determined by the national and state holidays referenced in Sec. 662.003 of the Texas Government Code including where those holidays fall during the calendar week. Holidays that fall on a weekend are not included in the total annual count.

For FY 2025, we are permitted to observe 15 holidays. The FY 2025 schedule does not include a floating holiday.

All employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week for at least 4.5 continuous months are eligible for holiday leave. Eligible part-time employees receive holiday leave proportionate to the number of hours scheduled to work weekly.
