Body

UTINFOSEC

UTINFOSEC is a collaborative initiative created by and for University of Texas System Information Security, IT, and IT Audit staff to exchange ideas, best practices, and discuss trends on a wide variety of technology-related topics, with a focus on information security.  Agenda items usually include presentations on technology use cases, panel discussions on addressing common security issues, and updates on institutional initiatives.

Originally created by Frank S. Stafford, Ph.D. (formerly of the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio), UTINFOSEC is coordinated by the UT System Office of Information Security. UTINFOSEC members generally meet twice per fiscal year. Typically, there are between 60-80 attendees comprised of UT institution chief information security officers (CISOs), chief information officers (CIOs), information security analysts, IT staff, IT auditors and compliance staff. Sessions are live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person.
