Even when you love it, teaching is not for the faint of heart.
It is constantly challenging and unpredictable. My responsibility is to inspire students and facilitate their learning. They need facts, but more importantly, they need someone who is excited about the discipline to challenge them to think critically and to be a role model for how a professional thinks and acts. It is essential that my graduates, who are my legacy, contribute to patient care.
