I believe my role as an educator is to provide students with an engaging and effective learning environment, combined with a clear and organized course structure.
Through this, I can teach students critical and analytical thinking skills, and then challenge, motivate, and guide them through a process of discovery that allows them to be responsible for their own learning. I also believe that, as an architecture educator, I am uniquely placed to facilitate a societal change towards more sustainable communities through introducing new generations of architects to principles of environmentally responsive architecture and to the methods, tools, and skills needed to integrate these principles into their design processes and their lives.
