Knowing that I can make an impact on the lives of others makes teaching incredibly worthwhile.
I share my passion for the discipline of history within an active and challenging learning environment. My students learn that history is not the mere linking of historical facts to form fixed conclusions; instead, they discover that historical knowledge is interpretative and that it is constantly evolving. In this process, they begin to think and communicate like historians. It is my utmost goal for my students to leave the classroom with an elevated aptitude for critical thinking, improved verbal and written communication skills and a heightened awareness of the world in which we live.
