Required Assessments

These tests will help you increase your understanding about yourself and your relations with others.

  • DISC Profile Personality Assessment. Protegees and sponsors will be sent an email with a link to the web-based DISC Profile Personality Assessment by HRDPress (http://www.hrdpress.com/DISC) in early January 2018. The test can be completed in less than 30 min. Your individual results will be distributed to you at the Workshop, so you can use the results to participate in the related sessions. Please be assured that aggregate results will be reported in a de-identified format.
  • Harvard Implicit Association Tests (IAT). Please take the following tests regarding unconscious bias: gender (two options - science and career), race, age, religion, sexuality, weight. The tests are available at: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html.

 

Required Pre-Symposium Work

  1. Self-Promotion Skills Practice Handout This will be used during Dr. Miller's Skills Practice session - Day 1.
  2. Early January: For Workshop Day #1 sessions with Dr. Miller Assignment instruction to Protegees, Message Mapping description, and Communication Survey.
  3. Early January: For Workshop Day #2 session with Dr. Farmer. Complete the DISC Profile Personality Assessment as soon as you receive the link. All protegees and sponsors will each be sent an email with a link to the web-based DISC Profile Personality Assessment by HDRPress (http://www.hrdpress.com/DISC). The test can be completed in less than 30 min. Your individual results will be distributed to you at the Workshop, so you can use the results to participate in the related sessions. Please be assured that aggregate results will be reported in a de-identified format.
