Program Overview

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) offers this 21-credit hour program leading to principal certification for eligible candidates. In addition to completing course requirements, candidates for certification as a Principal must earn a passing score on the Texas Principal Certification Exam and must have at least two years of creditable classroom teaching experience.

Getting Started

To participate in Principal Certification program, you must apply to and be accepted by UT Permian Basin. Information regarding admission requirements and more can be found on the Educational Leadership program program page.
