Gray Laird
Associate General Counsel
Gray Laird is Associate General Counsel in The University of Texas System’s Office of General Counsel. He specializes in litigation, employment law, constitutional law and risk management. Before joining the Office of General Counsel, Gray was an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Austin, Texas, where he specialized in civil rights and personal injury litigation, constitutional law and employment law. Before joining the City of Austin Law Department, he was a longtime shareholder in the Jackson, Mississippi, law firm Page, Kruger and Holland where he had an extensive civil litigation and risk management practice. Prior to entering private practice, Gray was a law clerk for the late Presiding Justice Armis E. Hawkins of the Mississippi Supreme Court. Gray is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Law.
