Out of State Claims
Claim Information

The Office of Risk Management has procured workers’ compensation policies to ensure coverage of our employees who live out-of-state.

  • We have a multi-state policy through Hartford.
  • North Dakota, Ohio, Washington, and Wyoming are unique. They have their premiums and claims handled by the individual states.
  • Regardless of the location, each claim should be reported to the UT System WCI Office.
Out-of-State Employee Claims Reporting

To report injuries for employees who live out-of-state, contact Stephanie Castelo at 512-499-4663 or scastelo@utsystem.edu.

Out-of-state claim policy submissions do not apply to individuals traveling on business domestically.  For those claims, please follow your institution’s standard claims submission process via your WCI Representative.
