  • Learning Programs: In today's world of information overload, learning programs target the most applicable resources. Subject matter experts and learning designers select the appropriate blend of content to create learning programs that address specific business initiatives and/or learning goals.
  • Leadership Development :SkillSoft's Leadership Development Channel is a unique collection of on-demand video programs featuring best-selling business authors, experts and CEOs. The Leadership Development Channel covers formal and informal learning needs of employees at all levels through programs on the topics such as management and leadership, change and innovation, communication, marketing and sales, business strategy and more. This collection is also ideal for group learning experiences, including as a meeting starter, one-on-one coaching and facilitated learning sessions.

Block 82: Uncommon Knowledge, Unconventional Wisdom for UT System Employees: This collaborative monthly speaker series hosted by the Office of Innovation and Strategic Investment and the Office of Academic Affairs is designed to bring employees together in a spirit of continual learning. Guest speakers guide engaging conversations regarding innovation and leadership to empower participants with ideas and frameworks that can support both personal and UT System, achievements. Information regarding upcoming speakers is provided through email meeting invitations, UT4U and the UT System@Work e-newsletter.

Professional Development Opportunities: We support the growth and development of UT System employees by providing informational resources to a variety of training and educational activities, classes, and conferences for employees and managers to explore. These offerings have been vetted by OTI to ensure that relevancy and quality of opportunity is in-line with UT System standards. Please review the list of Professional Development Opportunities.

  • Career Advancement at UT System Administration: Before you look for a new job in another organization, explore the options available internally. Whether you are switching from IT to web development, from audit to compliance, or a myriad of other options, your best career move could be the office across the hall. Read the Internal Applicant Job Application Instructions to search and apply for jobs.
  • Tuition Assistance: Ready to enhance your performance and propel your career forward? Take advantage of the Tuition Assistance Program, which allows eligible employees to enroll in college or university coursework that directly relates to their job duties and would enhance job performance. The program provides eligible employees up to $2,000 per year in partial reimbursement of tuition and related fees (e.g., building use fee, technology fee, student services, health and insurance fees for students in health-related studies, registration fee) following successful completion of graduate or undergraduate coursework at an accredited institution of higher education.
